Mazda CX-3 2015: New small Ninja

Yet some will say! Yes may be but it is rather successful will tell others!
One thing is sure, this new small SUV is here and it will happen in our European markets in the spring of 2015 where he is coming with scrap Captur, 2008, Mokka, 500X, Ecosport, C4 Cactus (?), New HR- V and Juke including pending the arrival of other models announced by manufacturers.

Developed based on the Mazda 2, the CX-3 nevertheless enjoys an exterior design that is clean but however it is in the style of design Kodo (soul in motion if you believe the manufacturer's marketing discourse Hiroshima). So this small SUV uses the "tics" stylistic already seen on the Mazda 3 and 6. Thus we find a mix of sharp edges, broken lines on the front and rear and the long curving lines that balance fairly the pace of the car that marries some momentum with a pleasant and discreet elegance as is the case on both sedans mentioned above.
This new interpretation of the Kodo positions this CX-3 between Captur or 500X both made with curves and more rigid and classic models like the 2008 or the Ecosport. The mixture of influences is reminiscent of the spirit (reinterpreted) the creator of this market segment, the Nissan Juke which also combines elements of style.
We find this new CX-3, the new face of Mazda including a grille made of chrome strips and headlights look decided. The set appears as attractive and should appeal to customers! The rear part is inspired by that of the Mazda 2, but plumper, higher. The bezel visually continues the amounts of C mini SUV that mask hidden behind a side window glass surteintée. The set is especially to visually widen the car and give continuity to the window line and the fact that wave all around the little Mazda. Some will like, others less the black side window which is somewhat reminiscent of the C4 Aircross.
For the rest of the rear lights take a look how "frown" that respond to the drawing lighthouses. It will be appreciated the wheel arches very marked by thick black plastic moldings covering rims whose diameter will range from 16 to 18 inches. Rocker panels and rear bumper are also black plastic less sensitive to small rips daily than painted parts in body color.
The pace is rather successful and in the times but is however a bit surprised (without really being given that the SUV will now leave more asphalt) by the front overhang, which claims length of 91 cm, which is not anything on a vehicle of this size. The slopes, difficult sections will not be the SUV of tea.
The new CX-March 2015 announced the following dimensions which places it in the upper range of the template in terms segment:
L: 4.275 m
l: 1765 m
h: 1.550 m
Emp: 2.570 m (less than a Renault Captur yet much shorter with 4.12 m)
Overhang Front: 910mm
Ar overhang: 795 mm
However, the above-average size of the urban SUV should ensure the CX-3 good interior space and boot capacity of more correct.
If one believes the comments gathered since Thursday in Los Angeles, this small urban-rural vehicle should comply with the current method of personalization, combining colors and décortif stickage. Fashion launched by Mini has been emulated and the segment is already the case for the Captur, the Juke, the 500X and the Countryman.
The cabin is very close to that of the Mazda 2 including the same dashboard and seats similar to those of the new city brand. We thus find the same handset carries instruments as the Mazda 2 with highlighting of the rev counter and HUD (on some versions), the simplified center console and the famous "tablet" multimedia positioned dashboard head as all Mazda of the year (new or renewed). Otherwise, the manufacturer claims to have made efforts on finishing, quality plastics that must be less brilliant, less hard to offer an atmosphere more "affluent" in the cockpit. Several upholstery and trim levels will obviously be offered to customers.
Technically, the CX-3 is like all other models in the range, a pure product home with a Mazda chassis of the Mazda transmissions and of course Mazda engines. The CX-3 will have at its launch two blocks gasoline and diesel engines available in three versions.
well found on the excellent SKYACTIV blocks on the small SUV. By cons not really downsizing since the SUV advances with renowned L4 2.0 L SKYACTIV-G. The 2.0 L was preferred to the new 1.5 L (probably not quite torquey) and will be offered in two versions, usually with 120 and 165 hp.
A dieselisée version is the program with the new L4 1.5 L SKYACTIV-D is expected to announce that 110 or 115 hp. All engines can be combined (depending on the finish and the number of driven wheels) a BVM6 or to a BVA6. Finally, the CX-3 will be available in 2 or 4 wheel drive.
