The small Audi Q: Q2

Audi Q2 - 11
Aspen Mini Countryman because here is your nemesis! Audi takes advantage of the Geneva Motor Show to launch Q2, its smallest SUV.

The SUV is a big background trend among all manufacturers. Market projections predict that it will soon be the most marketed vehicle in Europe, if it is not already. Riding the wave, we are entitled to variations at will, in all possible forms. It is the turn of Audi unveiled its smallest offering in this market with the Q2, revealed today in Geneva, and expand from the booming segment of premium small urban SUV.
still based on the once ubiquitous MQB platform (Golf, A3, Leon, TT), the Q2 offers a very compact 4.19 m long jig, to 1.79 m wide and 1.5 m high or the general template of a Polo or a Clio, just a bit higher. No aluminum, that's good, stiff steel.
Aesthetically, the Q2 innovate much more than it seems at first. We recover the Single Frame grille of the brand, but it features a new design, more "square", while the lower part of the shield is rather aggressive. More interesting is the profile: the waistline is dynamic and shows two major setbacks on the doors. The rear pillar has him a unique treatment with either a black or silver lacquer. The visual effect is very successful, but beware of the blind spot! In some ways I find even a resemblance to the BMW i3 and the Volkswagen Polo. This is quite successful, and for once Audi does not simply decline again and again the same design.

The interior is rather fun for Audi it is a good surprise. Many exterior color reminders are made on the instrument panel, console and doors against. The round air vents are also very successful in my opinion. The meters show the Virtual Cockpit already seen on the new TT and A4, and this is also good news. The cabin is planned for 5 passengers, while the trunk is rather generous with the 405 (1050 and the seats folded).
Audi Q2 - 07
We speak engine? Audi takes of course much of the range of the VAG Group: petrol TFSI 1.0, 1.4 and 2.0 (capacity of 116, 150 and 190 hp) and diesel TDI 1.6 and 2.0 (116, 150 and 190 hp). You will notice that gasoline and diesel powers are similar! The transmissions are performed by manual gearbox or 6-speed DSG7 according to engine. AWD will be offered on the high end versions, bass versions solely traction. It is not very harmful as an urban SUV probably will never crossing.
Arriving on a market still in creation (outside the Mini Countryman, there is no other premium offering) Q2 is up a notch well above the Captur and 2008. Where other Renault tops out at 110 hp on the best-selling Audi almost double the bet. Audi will offer many customization packs allowing for a Q2 to the card, rather typed sport or off-road. Marketing planned in Q3, rates still undisclosed.
